Till Maria Jürgens is a research assistant and PhD student at the University of Siegen. He focuses on using Physical Computing in the design of interactive technology to change resource-intensive everyday practices, including the question if designing humoristic interaction in human machine communication can help changing behavior pleasantly in the long term.
The last years he worked as an independent Interaction Designer in the fields of Product and Web Design and taught Interaction / Interface Design, Creative Coding and Prototyping at several universities as a guest lecturer.
He graduated from Köln International School of Design with a master degree in design. He also studied at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in Zurich, Switzerland and at Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan. As a research assistant at the Köln International School of Design he participated for 2,5 years in a research project about blended learning.
Till is also interested in creating interactive art with the focus on the interface between thing, code and human.
